The most recent book by Vincent Wiers is co-authored with Prof Ton (A.G.) de Kok from Eindhoven University of Technology. This book contains a complete guide on how to design and implement Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems, and it contains 20 years of experience in APS implementations. This book forms the basis of the Masters course on APS at Eindhoven University of Technology.

The first book authored by Vincent Wiers (after his PhD thesis) was written together with Prof Ken McKay, who is regarded as a leading authority on the topic of the human factor in production control. This book, called Practical Production Control (a survival guide for planners and schedulers) was written in such a way that planners in practice could use it as a guide to improve their work. Based on this book, a workshop was developed. The book has been translated into Russian and Japanese.

The second book written by Vincent Wiers is called Manufacturing Excellence – Renewal and Rebirth, and this is also co-authored with Ken McKay. The book includes a narrative of the now-retired planner Jake – who makes his appearance in the first chapter of Practical Production Control – and who is observing the turnaround of the factory where he used to work. The book contains easy-to-digest messages on how to run a factory.
